What Is A Heat Pump?

A Heat Pump utilizes the benefits of the physical laws of Thermodynamics. Rather than burning carbon-releasing fossil fuels to produce heat, or electrically heating an element, Heat Pumps use a small amount of electricity to run a fan and a pump which circulates a modern refrigerant through the system to gather heat from one location and deposit it in another. 'Absolute Zero' is -275 C, the temperature that particles stop moving. At any temperature above this, such as -10 C, there is energy to be found in the air. A Heat Pump HEATS your home by transferring this energy from the outside air to the air inside of your home. Heat Pump design allows for the heat pump cycle to be reversed, which will COOL your home.

Air Conditioning

Most people define air-conditioning as the cooling of a space. We think of air-conditioning as much more. Green Coast Heat Pumps wants to condition the air in your home to a level that is comfortable and pure. Heat Pumps condition the environment to your preference by heating or cooling, and also moving indoor air through a filter to remove particles and contaminants. The air is also de-humidified in most settings which helps maintain a healthy level of moisture in the air for the benefit of both you and your home.

Heat Pump Ductless Beautiful Wall Unit

Ductless

A ductless Heat Pump system is composed of an outdoor Heat Pump and one or more indoor fan units connected by small copper refrigerant tubes. This system allows for unintrusive installation and direct heating and cooling to the area. Multiple indoor units can be installed in a variety of locations including on walls, inserted in ceilings, or inside an attic or crawlspace and then ducted to multiple rooms.

Ducted Central Air

A ducted Heat Pump system is the conventional central air system that most people are familiar with. Our Heat Pump systems replace the existing indoor equipment with a high efficiency air handler that is connected to the outdoor Heat Pump via small refrigeration tubing.

Dual Fuel

When you already have a high efficiency gas or oil furnace and wish to add cooling capability to your system, a Heat Pump coil is added in-line with the furnace, and an outdoor Heat Pump is installed to provide cool air to your home in the Summer months.
